Version) User
As a registered user of SurveyGold
7 software (or previous version), you can purchase an upgrade to
SurveyGold 8, which includes a one-year SurveyGold Plus
subscription, after launching the SurveyGold 8 software for the
first time. The Plus Activation wizard takes you through the
process of activating a seven-day trial subscription. Then,
clicking any of the Buy Now buttons takes you to an online order
form where you can complete your SurveyGold 8 upgrade purchase,
which includes a one-year SurveyGold Plus subscription.
Immediately after your order is processed, your annual
subscription is activated and replaces the trial subscription.
As a trial user of SurveyGold 8
software, you are entitled to a 30-day trial to SurveyGold Plus
that coincides with the 30-day trial evaluation of SurveyGold
software. Therefore, it is not necessary to buy a SurveyGold
Plus subscription in order to receive its benefits during the
SurveyGold 8 software trial period. After the 30-day trial, to
continue to use the software you must purchase a SurveyGold 8
software license. The purchase price includes a one-year
SurveyGold Plus subscription which enables all the benefits for
your first year of use starting from the date of purchase.
Any SurveyGold 8 user who has an
active or expired SurveyGold Plus subscription can maintain the
benefits of the SurveyGold Plus subscription for an additional
year by purchasing a subscription renewal. The time to purchase

SurveyGold 7 (or earlier version) software to access all of your
SurveyGold data, create and conduct surveys, collect and
view results, and produce reports and analysis just as you
always have. However, your ability to conduct web surveys and
collect web survey responses is affected as described in the
next paragraph.
SurveyGold 7 Web Survey
Capabilities End One Year After the SurveyGold 8 Release Date
As a registered user of a
SurveyGold 7 software product (or an earlier version), your
ability to conduct web surveys ends one year after of the
release of the SurveyGold 8 software. This is done to be
consistent with the annual SurveyGold Plus subscription plan
offered to all customers.
The release date of SurveyGold 8
was November 10, 2006. Therefore, a registered user of
SurveyGold 7 (or earlier version) software had the ability to
create and conduct web survey forms through November 10, 2007.
After that it is necessary to purchase a SurveyGold Plus
subscription to enable the web survey capabilities.
Guidance for SurveyGold 7 Site
License and Corporate License Holders
SurveyGold 8 and subsequent
versions are not available via site or corporate license
agreements. Therefore, it is necessary for those existing
SurveyGold 7 (and earlier version) site license holders to
upgrade each license holder via a Plus subscription.
If you have a site license or
corporate license for SurveyGold 7 (or an earlier version of
SurveyGold) you can upgrade any deployed instance of SurveyGold
by purchasing a SurveyGold Plus subscription for that instance
of SurveyGold. For example, if you have deployed 20 instances of
SurveyGold software under your license agreement, you could
upgrade them by purchase 20 SurveyGold Plus subscriptions (one
